Yes, it is possible to insert the bill of materials (BOM) within the drawing. The ‘Report Generation’ feature allows a user to generate the bill of materials (BOM) at the drawing level or get a consolidated one in DOCX or XLS formats.

Yes, E&I Electrical Designer delivers predefined set of report templates for cable list, wiring list, terminal list, list of measuring points, list of cable trays, material take-off, etc. These DOCX and XLS templates can be extended and customized easily by the users.

The drawings generated using E&I Electrical Designer can be converted into a plain AutoCAD drawing, which can be easily shared with AutoCAD users. 3D drawing generated in E&I Electrical Designer can also be exported as .nwd files to open in Navisworks for review and clash detection.

No, an external document management system is not required, as the software  has built-in features for revision control, user access, workflow management, etc.

Yes, a solenoid valve is represented as an object in both, the drawing (2D & 3D mechanical) as well as in the electrical drawing (2D). If the solenoid valve is deleted, both the drawings automatically get updated.
